Parliamentary Engagements at the 2025 Annual Meetings
The 2025 Annual Meetings present parliamentarians worldwide with a unique opportunity to engage directly with leadership and staff from the World Bank Group (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). These high-level exchanges will:
- Provide a platform to discuss the future of legislative engagement with the Bretton Woods institutions, reflecting on achievements, identifying areas for improvement, and envisioning deeper collaboration at global, regional, and country levels.
- Offer timely insights into global economic trends and the strategic priorities of the WBG and IMF.
- Facilitate direct access to senior officials and technical teams responsible for shaping programs and policies.
- Encourage peer-to-peer sharing of national experiences to strengthen the parliamentary role in advancing growth, productivity, and employment.
About the Parliamentary Network
Founded in 2000, the Parliamentary Network on the World Bank and IMF (PN) is an independent, non-governmental organization that provides a platform for parliamentarians from WBG and IMF member countries to advocate for increased accountability and transparency in development cooperation. It helps Members of Parliament (MPs) to share knowledge, and to hold their own governments, as well as international financial institutions, to account for development outcomes. The PN, through its members and events, creates a space where parliamentarians can engage with the WBG and IMF in a transparent manner, and, therefore, participate actively in shaping the international development agenda and productivity policies of both the WBG and the IMF, helping to accelerate results.
